The Nashville Symphony
To my friends in Nashville (The Mother Ship),
When I was 8 years old, I had tickets to a concert by one of my favorite country singers (I’ll keep their name a secret), concerts were my life at that point and I was completely in love with performances of all kinds.
Of course, there was a bad hair cut involved (probably a perm knowing my mother) a new outfit picked out and the whole day taken off school.
When I woke up on the greatly anticipated day of the show the singer had canceled due to illness…
I was obviously destroyed! My life was actually over… and from that point on if I had tickets to a concert I’d wake up repeatedly in the night from dreams that the show had been canceled. Concert anxiety is a real thing for eccentric little kids!
I just wanted to tell you that I never ever take canceling or postponing a concert lightly. It’s such a hard thing for me to admit that I have to do.
This is the worst timing for laryngitis and I’ve been trying to convince myself since Edmonton that it was allergies, bad luck.
Good news is that it’s just a virus and I’ll be back at it in a week or so.
We’re rescheduling today, the show will happen and be much better for it.
Just wanted to personally apologize to the fans and to the symphony for my bad timing and bad luck.
Lots of love,

Last night was CRAZY. We got to play in a tribute concert for CSN WITH CSN!!! :-)
We did Helplessly Hoping with those brilliant guys sitting 6 feet in front of us at a table. Tim was having guitar issues and Crosby and Nash yell “it’s not on!!” haha. We quickly fixed it and pulled ourselves together for the song.
Then the twins left the stage and Stephen Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd joined me for Crosby’s song Long Time Gone. Crosby just watched with his wife and they were smiling so I was thrilled!
What a night! Shawn Colvin was incredible, as well as The Head and The Heart and a few other folks including Paul Allen, who in addition to being one of the greatest philanthropists the world has ever known, is a pretty great guitarist! That really impressed me.
Stephen Stills plays the SHIT out of that guitar, its amazing just being onstage with the dude!
And Graham Nash really hits those high notes better than ever - PS. he is such a gentleman!
We joined CSN to close the night with Teach Your Children.
Needless to say I’m still flying high from the evening and I am deeply grateful for all that these three pioneers have brought to the world!
I’m proud to announce that this was our most successful Raise The Roof to date. We raised over $40,000 for the Looking Out Foundation!!!! Thank you to everyone who contributed and showed their support. We love you and there would be no foundation without you! Brandi & The Twins #lookingoutfoundation
